Americans
Visas are no longer needed. Instead once you arrive in Hungary we will take you to the local government office and help you apply for a residence permit. Please bring $125 and one passport picture for this purpose. Your residence permit will be good for five years.

Passport: If you have a passport, make sure it is valid for the next 2 years. If you do not have one, apply ASAP. Even if you are unsure about coming, don't wait because it will last you for 10 years.


EU Citizens
You are not required to have a visa prior to coming into Hungary. However, upon arrival we will register you with the local government for the duration of your expected time here. You will be required to submit your valid passport, approximately ten euro, an application (which we will provide), a passport size photo, and proof of medical insurance or coverage within the EU. Copies of the passport & proof of medical will made and the originals returned to you. Please come prepared to submit these items on registration day.

We will mail you a formal acceptance letter from 'Calvary Chapel Bible College Europe' once you apply, have submitted all the required visa information and you are accepted.


Other Internationals

Once you apply, are accepted (you'll be notified by e-mail), and have submitted all the required visa information needed, we will send you a visa packet. Included in the packet will be a blank visa application, a sample application, an acceptance letter, and a page of instructions that will tell you everything you need to do in order to obtain your visa. Allow for up to 3 months for the process, however, it will most likely only take only 1-2 months.

You will need to locate your nearest Hungarian Embassy/Consulate. A great source of information can be found at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs - Embassies.

Visas can be easy or a little difficult to obtain depending on the country from which you are applying. Governments can decide they do or do not like each other and change the rules overnight. Therefore, if you should run into a problem, the embassy or consulate asks for additional paperwork other than what we instructed you to provide, or they have a problem with the paperwork we gave you, e-mail us or call us as soon as possible.

Because of the accountability we have with the Hungarian government concerning inviting people into their country, we are asked to be on track the applications we send out. Therefore, it is important to us that you communicate with us during the application process! E-mail us when you send in your application to the embassy, if the expected time frame has been exceeded, if you run into a problem, and when you have obtained your visa in the mail. It is a great help in our dealings with the Hungarian government and also to assist you!
